A special thanks to the Mission Council for adding this revenue stream for our church and cold refreshments for guests and clients of the Highland Center. And even more special thanks to Kyle Kelley, Alvaro Quiroz, and James Bishop for moving all 600 lbs of it inside.
We will join the pilgrimage with other churches, led by the Commission on Racial Reconiliation in our diocese, to the Civil Rights Museum in Jackson, MS on Saturday, June 20. The admission is free. Lunch will be the only expense. Our church will take the van or divide into cars.
The Itinerary:
10:00 am Arrive at the museum and begin the tour
12:00 pm Lunch at the Cafe in the Museum
1:00 pm Service and reflection at nearby Episcopal church
1:45 pm Visit the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument
3:00 pm Leave for return to Shreveport
