Pride Mass & Wine and Cheese Social
Wednesday, June 24, 6:00 pm
A service that celebrates and affirms the LGBTQ+ community. Our church reaches out to the LGBTQ+ community, who have traditionally been very marginalized, to welcome them and remind them that this is their church too.
There will be a wine and cheese social in the library following the service.
Registration is not required but it does help us prepare for the wine and cheese event.
Upcoming Trip to the Civil Rights Museum
We will join the pilgrimage with other churches, led by the Commission on Racial Reconciliation in our diocese, to the Civil Rights Museum in Jackson, MS, on Saturday, June 20. The admission and lunch are free, thanks to the Lily Foundation and the diocese’s Commission on Racial Reconciliation. Our church will take the van or divide into cars.
The Itinerary:
10:00 am Arrive at the museum and begin the tour
12:00 pm Lunch at the Cafe in the Museum
1:00 pm Service and reflection at St. Andrews Episcopal Cathedral
1:45 pm Visit the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument
3:00 pm Leave for return to Shreveport
